Patient:​ Mr. Liu, Male, 42 years old.

Tongue & Pulse:​ Pale tongue with a thick coating; thready and weak pulse at the Chi (proximal) position; positive sublingual varicose veins (indicating blood stasis).

  • White atractylodes rhizome (Bai Zhu) 10g

  • Poria (Fu Ling) 10g

  • Licorice root (Gan Cao) 6g

  • Bupleurum root (Chai Hu) 10g

  • White peony root (Bai Shao) 10g

  • Curcuma tuber (Yu Jin) 10g

  • Artemisia capillaris (Mian Yin Chen) 10g

  • Hyacinth bean (Bai Bian Dou) 10g

  • Siegesbeckia herb (Xi Xian Cao) 10g

  • Mulberry mistletoe (Sang Ji Sheng) 10g

  • Polygonum multiflorum (He Shou Wu) 10g

  • Cuscuta seed (Tu Si Zi) 10g

  • Glossy privet fruit (Nu Zhen Zi) 10g

Dosage:​ Ten doses, one dose per day.

Follow-up:

After taking the Fengyang Daoist herbal formula for ten doses and adhering to a dietary therapy, a re-examination on May 30, 2026, showed that multiple indicators—including liver function, blood sugar, and uric acid—had all returned to within normal ranges.
